Control Your Stress Naturally

State of relaxation is important skill itself. It is the power of body and minds in order to focus our energy in the right direction. By achieving our goals we will feel good inside and out!  
Relaxation should not be confused with a mental state of sleepiness or simply being tired. Relaxation is a state of physical activity and alertness that allows us to perform at peak efficiency whether we are exercising, studying, performing, communicating, or just daydreaming. Relaxation is a state of calm alertness, of clarity in thought and focus. It is the mental state of controlled stress.

Practicing Yoga is a great way to achieve the state of relaxation.However, for those who don't have time or do not practice Yoga - There are many natural botanicals that can help us moderate our stress level but my favorite botanicals to control stress naturally are:      

(a) LEMON BALM (Cyracos brand)-History tells us that Lemon Balm was used medicinally by the Greeks at least 2,000 years ago. This medicinal herb was dedicated to the goddess Diana. Today Lemon balm has been used as a natural remedy for stress, while enhancing focus and memory.      

(b) CHAMOMILE- Dried chamomile flower is an age-old therapeutic medicine well known to have been used as a medicinal herb throughout the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Chamomile's popularity grew throughout the Middle Ages, when people turned to it as a popular remedy for numerous conditions, but most often as remedy for digestive system soothing and relaxation.        

(c) 5-HTP (5-hydroxy L-tryptophan) from Griffonia simplicifolia seeds is a drug-free plant derived source of a naturally occurring metabolite of the amino acid tryptophan that naturally increases the body's level of serotonin. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter substance found at the synapses between neurons, and is a very important chemical messenger that affects our appetite, mood, behavior and sleep. Daily doses of 50 mg/day are used to promote relaxation, while higher doses of 100mg are used in remedies for sleep.
